Our applique banner kit includes everything needed to make this beautiful decoration to brighten up any room. You don't need to have any prior sewing experience to tackle this mindful sewing project and we consider this to be suitable for children from the age of around 9 years old, with guidance and supervision from an adult. The banner is created by sewing pre-cut felt flowers and leaves to the canvas. We've included full skeins of high quality embroidery thread so there is plenty for practising stitches on fabric scraps. The stitches used can be adapted if children find them too challenging. Felt doesn't fray so can be attached with very simple stitches if desired. The kit is accompanied by a highly detailed step-by-step guide book.
Please note that you will need the use of a sewing machine for the final construction of the banner.
