This beautiful kit enables you to design and sew a piece of bespoke word art. Decorate your home, or your child's bedroom. You could sew a name, a word, or a whole phrase. Maybe you'll stitch up some words of encouragement to gift to a friend.
The kit includes everything you'll need to enjoy a relaxed craft experience, even if you're brand new to sewing. Our colourful fold-out guide introduces all the techniques you need to learn to sew with felt. The step-by-step instruction sheet walks you through the project, referring to skills taught in the guide. You'll learn skills which you can transfer to any future hand-sewing or embroidery projects.
This project features high quality felt in a wool-viscose blend which is a pleasure to sew with. The modern colour palette is perfectly matched with DMC embroidery threads, presented on our darling little Dachshund thread organiser.
The base kit supplies five pennants. If you'd like to make a longer banner, make sure you adjust the number in the 'Style' drop-down. Remember, if you order a larger number you don't have to string them all together; you could make a few separate words, or even individual initials.
We really like to make life easy for our customers, so we've included a clever type of paper which adheres to the felt. Choose your letters and motifs; trace them onto the paper; iron the paper to the felt; cut the shapes; peel off the paper!
This kit is suitable for older children (9+) and adults. If you're buying for a child, please be prepared to help guide and supervise them. We suggest an adult cuts the felt letters as this step is a little fiddly.
